
![]() 5 x 7 in. I thought I'd try a still life of tomatoes today. My struggle has always been to use color in imaginative ways to describe the shadows and planes of objects. I tend to stick to local color, the color that I actually see, and that doesn't always make an interesting painting. I'm trying to step outside my box and see what happens. Looking at this finished painting, I can see that I need to go bold.
