 I love purple so these flowers caught my eye. I'm doing this on a dark background and using that as my darkest value. This painting is unlike my other paintings. The colors are so vibrant and the paint is so thick these flowers really pop.

 Starting my second month of daily paintings and trying to focus a bit on still life subjects. I had purple and red left on my pallet from a previous painting session so these beautiful eggplants were a good place to start.
