![]() I've discovered the The Virtual Paintout and this month we're in Chile. For those who aren't aware of the group, every month a different location is chosen and you explore the area with Google maps, choose a place to paint as if you were plein air painting on location. This is an 8 x 10 acrylic from this location: http://goo.gl/maps/snZV1. I love having a painting idea handed to me and exploring a spot on Google Maps is a fun way to learn about parts of the world I will likely never see.

![]() I love clouds. The infinite variety of shapes capture my attention and skyscapes are one of my favorite and challenging genres. I am guilty of driving down the road with my iPhone pointed to the sky trying to get a quick shot of some spectacular cloud I've spotted in the distance. And I've been known to trip over my own feet walking down the path painting clouds in my head. I always find them harder to get down on canvas then I think they will be. Here are seven of my favorites now for sale on Daily Paintworks. |
AuthorI'm an fine art artist in Raleigh, North Carolina. I need a paintbrush in my hand to feel complete and I invite you to follow me on my art journey. Everyday brings new ideas and projects... there simply is not enough time... On December 1, 2012, I joined the community of artists who paint a painting each and every day. I haven't been able to keep up with the daily painting, but I'm trying hard to keep my paintbrushes busy. Archives
