This was a great trail, though, with lots of interesting cactus, plants and rocks with the beautiful vista of mountains over my right shoulder. I want to go back!!!!
When I was in Arizona I did lots of hiking. This painting was from a picture I took on the 50 Year Trail in the Catalina Mountains. I remember this hike particularly because it was during a time I was trying to limit my mileage because my foot was hurting. Many trails go for miles and it's so hard for me to make myself stop and turn around. That little voice in my brain keeps saying "Let's see what's around the next corner."

AuthorI'm an fine art artist in Raleigh, North Carolina. I need a paintbrush in my hand to feel complete and I invite you to follow me on my art journey. Everyday brings new ideas and projects... there simply is not enough time... On December 1, 2012, I joined the community of artists who paint a painting each and every day. I haven't been able to keep up with the daily painting, but I'm trying hard to keep my paintbrushes busy. Archives
